About Coach Hayden
I started Youngsville Baseball Academy because I love this game and I want to teach it.
Coaching kids is one of the most valuable things a person can do with their time. Done well, it builds skill, character, discipline, and a love of something bigger than yourself. Done poorly, it wastes the few short years a kid has to fall in love with the game. YBA is built around doing it well—at every age, at every level, every session.
We teach hitting, fielding, throwing, base-running, and the mental side. We teach competing without losing your head. We teach showing up for your teammates. We teach the difference between effort and excuse.
